Trigger points refer pain into the shin, ankle and foot that frequently mimic the symptoms associated with diagnoses such as shin splints, gout, metatarsalgia, Morton’s neuroma.

Examples of these muscles are: Tibialis Anterior, Flexor Digitorum Brevis and Flexor Hallicus Brevis.
